MWC 2017: Huawei unveils Watch 2 and Watch 2 Classic, two watches with Android Wear 2.0
In addition to the new top-of-the-range Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones, The Chinese manufacturer official unveiled its new Smartwatches, the Huawei Watch 2 and watch 2 classic.
On the menu, we have two different watches, the watch 2 and the watch 2 classic. With Watch 2, Huawei targets mostly athletic users. The bracelet is in silicone and the dial is made of plastic.
The Watch 2 comes with a 4G connectivity, and a nano-SIM card slot, which allows it to function independently of the smartphone. It also hosts a GPS, in addition to a heart rate sensor, and NFC connectivity for contactless payment. With this device, You go out to run without your phone while being able to receive message and notifications.
Moreover, it offers Android Wear 2.0 and integrates Google Assistant, and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip. 4 GB of internal memory allow to store music, then broadcast to Bluetooth headphones. It also houses a 420 mAh battery, which it boasts an autonomy of 10 hours of sports activities or 2 days of general use.
The Watch 2 Classic has an aluminum dial and a leather strap for a premium look. It doesn't support 4G, but hold the other features offered on the Watch 2 (GPS, heart rate sensor, NFC, Bluetooth etc).
The Huawei Watches will be launched in March in these countries: China, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.And will launch later in April in the United States and the United Kingdom. The price will be 400$ for the watch 2 4G version and 347$ for Bluetooth version, and price of watch 2 classic is 421$.
