Xiaomi chooses to strengthen its position and move forward!

Xiaomi has experienced incredible growth in last years. 2016 was a particularly rich year for the Chinese company, which set the record.

In a long letter addressed to his employees, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, reviews the history of his company, and more in detail about the year 2016 which was particularly good. Indeed, the company has become the third largest smartphone vendor in India, dominates the industry of connected objects and enjoys an immaculate reputation.

In 2016, Xiaomi made a sensation by presenting phones like the Mi Mix, as intriguing as exclusive or the Mi Note 2, one of the few phones to be endowed with curved edges for a price defying any competition. But in terms of growth, phone sales are not growing as much as in recent years. What drives Xiaomi to think about a strategy that will allow it not to lose customers, shareholders or capital.

Xiaomi does not want to become another LeEco, a company out of breath. As a reminder, this Chinese smartphone company has also experienced unusual growth, before investing a huge share of its capital in other projects and end up without funds. In order to avoid this, Xiaomi will strengthen its presence in key sectors such as services or physical stores, essential for not having to rely on thin markets in the sale of smartphone online.

For the year 2017, will concentrate enormously on artificial intelligence and propose innovations in the field. So, Xiaomi, although still a start-up according to its founder Lei, hopes to rub shoulders with the Internet giants equally.
