Qualcomm Snapdragon 835: Specifications Unveiled
Some images of SnapDragon specs have been already revealed. it's an octa-core processor with less energy consumption and much better performances.
We already know that Qualcomm will unveil its latest Snapdragon 835 at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas. However, some images of the SoC has been already leaked.
Engraved in 10 nanometres, the Snapdragon 835 would apparently benefit from an octa-core Kryo 280 architecture. According to the images, it would consist of 4 cores running at 2.45 GHz dedicated to high performances and 4 cores clocked at 1,9 GHz for common tasks.
-Less energy consumption:
One of the images reveals that the Snapdragon 835 would have a more optimized energy efficiency of 50% compared to the Snapdragon 801. In other words, it consumes half the energy of its predecessor released in 2014. Good news for all users who wish to enjoy powerful and more autonomous smartphones.
We also know that the SoC has an Adreno 540 GPU compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL, ES and Vulkan. Finally, it also benefits from a Hexagon 960 DSP and an X16 LTE modem which is much faster than the X12 of Snapdragon 820 and 821.
Normally, we can expect more optimized performances as ever.
