Lenovo is Back with New ThinkPad X1

The high-end Chinese manufacturer Lenovo takes advantage of CES 2017 to announce a new generation of ThinkPad X1 machine, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon.


First, let’s take close look at what Lenovo announced today:

 
The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available in Black and a new silver color, and weighing just 2.5 pounds and packs a 14-inch IPS display into a new sleek 13-inch form factor.

Lenovo promises the superlative performance and connectivity, with LTE-A Wireless WAN and WIFI CERTIFIED WiGig options, and 3 port of thunderbolt allow for super-fast and slim port connection that lets you transfer data quickly.

According to Lenovo, one hour of battery charge equals up to 12 hours of battery life.

That’s not all, ThinkPad X1 Carbon designed to include a fingerprint sensor with a dedicated chip that handles biometric processing helps secure and a new face recognition Infrared camera.


The X1 Carbon is also the first business-class notebook to support FIDO-enabled biometric authentication for PayPal.

 ThinkPad X1 Carbon price starts at $1,349, and will be available in February 2017.
