CES 2017: Ryzen / Vega AMD offers a demo
AMD makes a demo with its duo Ryzen/Vega on the occasion of CES 2017. And it promises.
At CES in Las Vegas, AMD is demonstrating its new Vega technologies for graphics cards and Ryzen for processors.
A configuration turns the Star Wars Battlefront video game to 60 frames per second, with a few drops to 57 and 58. The experiment is conducted with the UHD definition (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) and the Ultra graphics settings.
Not bad, knowing that a similar configuration with a GeForce GTX 1080 would allow to oscillate between 43 and 48 images per second. Now we also know that a new batch of drivers may change that. A victory at one time is never acquired.
