CES 2017: LeEco annouces Android Bikes and BikeOS
In the occasion of CES 2017, LeEco introduced two bikes as well as a modified version of Android, BikeOS that will be dedicated to them.
LeEco announced last night at CES 2017 two smart bikes, the Smart Road Bike (picture above), as well as the Smart mountain bike. These bikes come with BikeOS. This new operating system developed by LeEco is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
-A Snapdragon in a Bike:
These bikes announced by LeEco will provide a navigation service thanks to HERE Maps and a touchscreen of 4 inches. Thanks to the BikeOS system, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the bikes will be able to communicate with each other, as well as saving the travel realized thanks to its GPS chip.
This will be possible thanks to the integration of a Snapdragon chip. You can also count on an accelerometer, a compass, a barometer, and a light sensor. According to LeEco, the electronics are IP54 certified, therefore dust and water proof.
At the moment no details concerning the possibility of disassembling the electronic part to recharge it. LeEco finally indicates a battery 6000 mAh, but without indicating the autonomy.
