CES 2017: JBL Pulse 3, new look and waterproofing

The US firm JBL took advantage of CES to present the third generation of its Pulse Bluetooth speakers, which offer a new look and can go under water.

Already of good quality, The JBL Pulse 2 will soon be upgraded. At the largest new technology show in the world, the CES, which takes place in Las Vegas, JBL presented the third generation of its Bluetooth Pulse speakers.

The main innovations are first to observe the design side. The new speakers, black or white, to choose, exchange their mesh for a semi-transparent hard plastic. Their lighting system also creates custom atmospheres that follow the rhythm of the music and give them an appearance reminiscent of oil lamps.

They also become waterproof: certified IP X7, they can now be immersed in water up to one meter deep for a duration of 30mn. The brand also claims to have improved the sound quality.

Concerning the other characteristics, we find the 360-degree sound of their predecessors, a battery with up to 12 hours of autonomy, according to JBL, and noise reduction technology for clearer phone calls. It is also possible to connect up to 100 speakers on the same audio source as the Boom and Megaboom of Ultimate Ears.

The Pulse 3 will be released in the US next spring and will be sold for $ 200. Their availability in Europe has not been announced yet.
