CES 2017: Faraday Future, the mysterious rival of Tesla, unveils FF 91, its semi-autonomous and electric car
After a year of mysteries, Faraday Future finally unveiled its electric car and semi-autonomous FF 91, the frontal competitor of the famous Tesla by Elon Musk.
Faraday Future has done a lot. At the level of the battery already. The car manufacturer ensures that it would be 130 kWh and would offer an autonomy of 608 km, or even 775 km if you drive only at 90 km/h. The brand also announces that the FF91 is able to reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.39 seconds, making it the fastest series electric car in the world, easily surpassing the Tesla Model X (3.1 second).
With its FF91, Faraday Future wants to offer the most connected car on the market. In addition to many modems which allow a constant connection, two aerial antennas, located above the trunk, provide the Internet at the same rate as the fiber. The vehicle features 10 front and rear cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 13 short and medium range radars and a high-definition LIDAR. The FF91 can easily connect to our smartphone to access our multimedia library. Especially since the doors of the vehicle will open only if the user returns.
All this seems very promising, Faraday Future hopes to start Deliveries by 2018. No price has been announced yet. But the company announced the production of a limited edition of 300 copies, dubbed "Alliance Edition".
