CES 2017: Dell launches the world's first 8K monitor!

in the occasion of CES 2017 Dell has introduced the world's first 8K monitor. This monitor will be perfect for image professionals who need a lot of precision when editing their images.

-Dell UltraSharp 32 8K (UP3218K):

The UP3218K is the first 8k monitor. This is no longer a prototype like the displays shown by Sharp and LG in their conference. it has a price and even a release date.$5000, on March 23rd, 2017

Technically, it is probable that Dell uses four 4K slabs side by side, this has been already seen on the first 4K displays. Moreover, the UP3218K is connected via two DisplayPort 1.3 cables, which means it needs a decent graphics card.

Indeed the definition of the slab is 8K (7680x4320) 60Hz and offers a 100% color space Adobe RGB, sRGB, Rec709, 98% DCI-P3 as well as a 400 cd/m²  brightness, and finally less than 80% in Rec2020.
