Acer and Asus Announce Two Chromebooks for Students!

Google announced two new Chromebooks specifically designed for the education market. The Chromebook spin 11 from Acer and the Chromebook C213 from Asus. These devices are laptops capable of turning into a tablet (hybrid PC).


Google has gathered the advice and opinions of US teachers to design these two convertible products.  These are hybrid laptops that can turn into a tablet.


The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 features an 11.6 inches Touchscreen with Gorilla Glass. It displays a definition of 1366x768 px and works with a stylus. Inside the frame (shown as shock-resistant) you can find several variants, the starting variation combines an Intel Celeron N3350 processor, with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory that can be expandable with an SD card.





As for the rest of the connectivity, we note two USB 3.0 ports and two USB type-c ports. according to Acer the device can hold up to 10 hours away from the plug. Unfortunately, this Chromebook is not very light it weighs approximately 1.4kg, and measures 296 x 206 x 20.5.


For the Asus C213, it is also hybrid with a stylus included. Asus still didn't give us its full specs yet. For the availability, these two Chromebooks should be available in the end of spring.
