Deseat.me, this site that allows you to disappear from the Internet

Who has not dreamed one day of being able to unsubscribe from all the useless sites or services that abound on the Internet? Nothing impossible in itself, but this long and tedious task discourages in advance most Internet users. But that was before two Swedish developers launched the Deseat.me site.

Deseat.me allows you to unsubscribe from most of the sites and services that your Gmail account is associated with. The application lists all the services, sites or mailling-lists linked to your email address. Whether it's social networks or online shops, the platform will offer you a link for each service associated with your account so you can unsubscribe from it or even delete your account.

Only disadvantage, it works for the moment only from a Gmail account. The site is still in development but should soon open to other mail servers.

Very little is known about Wille Dahlbo and Linus Unnebäck, the two Swedish developers behind Deseat.me who are content with just a few lines on their site to introduce themselves: “Privacy and data security is something we regard as extremely important. In fact, it’s our number one focus from beginning to end. That's why we built it to run on your computer. So basically the only thing you're telling us is what accounts you want to delete. That’s it, and since we use Google OAuth protocol we don't have access to any of your login information”.
