Super Mario Run: launch on iOS December 15, the full version at 9.99 dollars

The wait comes to an end. Nintendo announced the launch date of Super Mario Run, its next mobile game. The launch will be on December 15, on iPhone and iPad only.

The most famous plumber is about to enter a new world: the smartphone games. After Miitomo whose audience quickly collapsed a few weeks after its launch, Nintendo prepares to launch second assault on this market with Super Mario Run. The game will contain a total of 24 levels spread across six worlds.

The manufacturer has opted for a particular business model. The download of the application will be free, a three modes can be tried for free before the full purchase, to get the full access to all features, and it will cost 9.99 USD, a tariff that falls within the high range of those usually practiced for "premium" applications.

Super Mario Run, which was unveiled at the conference presentation of the iPhone 7 will debut on the iPhone, IPad and iPod Touch with iOS 8 or a newer version of the operating system, starting on 15 December. An Android version is also planned, but no information has yet been revealed about its release date on this platform.

As a reminder, Apple has set up a reminder system on the App Store to be notified when Super Mario Run will be available for download. This is the first time such a system has been proposed. As for the game, it was announced last September during the keynote for the iPhone 7.
